SAIREX W1: the current development stage
What the SAIREX team is working on and the stages W1 must pass before real-world testing.
From concept to engineering prototype
SAIREX W1 is in the design and engineering-prototype preparation stage. We are developing a wheeled platform for hotel service tasks. One main direction is the role of a robot host: welcoming guests, explaining services, showing routes, providing guidance and helping guests reach the right staff member. Small-load delivery and internal logistics complement these scenarios.
Our current focus is turning this direction into a design that can be built, maintained and tested step by step. This is prototype development, not an announcement that a finished robot is going on sale.
What we are working on now
We are refining the structure and placement of major assemblies, selecting components and coordinating requirements for their combined operation. In parallel, we are developing motion, human interaction and protective functions.
What matters is not only how W1 will look, but also how practical it will be for staff to assign tasks, understand its status, maintain it and intervene when necessary. These questions inform the design; final decisions will require testing.
What comes next
The next stages are completing the selection of key components, assembling individual subsystems and testing them. Their combined operation will then need to be checked on the engineering prototype.
Initial tests must take place under controlled conditions. Moving to a hotel pilot will require risk assessment and confirmation of readiness for specific routes and tasks. We are not announcing a timetable for that transition yet.
What we will share
We plan to share brief development updates: which stage is complete, what has been tested and what comes next. Concept and digital-model images will be labelled as such; they do not replace photographs of an assembled prototype or test results.
At this stage, we are not claiming verified operating specifications, certification of the entire platform or readiness for W1 to work independently among guests. Such claims must rest on verifiable results.
Our task is to move steadily from an engineering design to a useful hotel tool. We will report milestones as they are completed, without premature promises.
